About
Yun Lee is an artist and curator mostly working with performance, sound, text, and digital culture. They are concerned with how our technologically filtered ways of seeing and hearing both limit and extend the ways we compose and define what it means to be human. They mostly do this by pushing existing formats to the edges of their conventions: surreal lectures, self-destructive records, self-deleting essays.
Lately Yun has been busy playing with the embodied technology of martial arts, particularly boxing, which they have practiced for 7 years.
In addition to their art practice, they curate the lecture-performance series BARTALK and coordinate workshops at the intersections of art, music, and technology at iii.
